Though it was first announced this year for a Holiday 2020 release during Ubisoft Forward, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition will now be released on January 14, 2021, Ubisoft announced.
In August 2010, the original version of the video game was released alongside the movie it’s based on. However, it was delisted from various digital stores in December 2014, leaving many fans of the film and the game disappointed back then.
During the 10th anniversary of the film in August, Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley said he would be surprised if Ubisoft gets to release the game again. Ubisoft announced the release of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition in September.
What is still unknown is if the game will be released physically. So far, the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store (PC) show the game as a download-only title.
The game is also coming to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia and UPlay+.
The 2D beat’em up arcade-style game returns once more.
