A GTA Online cheat website has been shut down following discussions with game developer Take-Two Interactive.
The once-popular website LunaCheats, used for the purchase of hacks for GTA Online, shows a written message stating it has ceased the cheat menu service.
“After discussions with Take-Two Interactive, we are immediately ceasing all maintenance, development, and distribution of our cheat menu services.”
As a result, LunaCheats will donate all its proceeds to a charity selected by the game developer.
“We apologize for any and all problems our software has caused to the Grand Theft Auto Online community.”
The use of LunaCheats hacks increased last year right after the PC version of GTA5 become one of the free games for a limited time on Epic Games Store.
Players who used the cheat menu were able to enter “god mode” or “semi-god mode” to obtain unfair advantages.
