Game developer Psyonix announced today Rocket League Sideswipe is coming to iOS and Android devices later this year.
Sideswipe will become the developer’s first attempt at launching the experience of the car-soccer game from PC and consoles to smartphones and tablets.
The mobile version will feature “a new perspective on the field” in 1v1 and 2v2 matches. Each fast-paced online match will last two minutes. Best of all, the RLS will be free to download.
The gameplay will make use of mobile controls “that are easy to pick up whether you’re a master of Rocket League or a new player still learning your way around the field,” says the post.
Fans will also see “an online Ranking system for competitive play” and lots of car customization in Rocket League Sideswipe.
For now, Rocket League fans in Australia and New Zealand can play the alpha version for Android devices.
