Nintendo surprised fans of all ages tonight with the announcement of the Game Builder Garage app.
With this app coming to Switch on June 11, fans will be able to create and share their own games. To make the procedure easy and fun, colorful creatures named Nodon will be the the main piece of learning visual game programming while making games.
Each Nodon represents a unique function that can be connected to be used in programming. The goal of this app is to learn the basic of game programming. A variety of genres can be made with the app. Such genres include side-scrolling games, kart racing games, and others.
Once fans start the app, they will be introduced to Lesson Mode. This mode comes with interactive lessons for people interested in visual programming. Small puzzles are used to test the knowledge of each user.
Free Programming mode lets fans put their skills to the test obtained from Lesson Mode.
Users will be able to exchange and download games with others.
A compatible mouse connected to the USB port of Switch will also let gamers create their games.
Game Builder Garage will be available for $29.99 via the Nintendo eShop and Nintendo.com.
