As seen on Deadline, both Marvel Studios and DC Films will skip the Comic-Con@Home 2021 virtual event.
For Marvel Studios, it’s the second time in a row it will be absent due to the pandemic. For DC Films, this marks the third year fans won’t see anything related to DC films and characters at the event.
While the absence of DC Films will be felt at the online event, Warner Bros will have its TV series Legends of Tomorrow at the online event. The publishing division may also make an appearance.
Last year, WB had its DC FanDome online event. It is still unknown if this year’s DC FanDome will be an online-only or an in-person event.
What remains to be known is if Marvel Studios and DC Films are going to the in-person Comic-Con Special Edition from Nov. 26-28, 2021, over Thanksgiving weekend.
The online event is scheduled for July 23-25.
