Developer Tango Gameworks announced today its action/adventure title Ghostwire: Tokyo has been delayed until early 2022.
Because of the additional time, the Japanese game developer has not announced a specific release date for Ghostwire: Tokyo.
The cause for the delay seems to be due to the current situation in Japan about COVD-19.
“We want to get the game in your hands as soon as possible so you can experience the unforgettable version of a hunted Tokyo that we’ve been hard at work building,” says the tweet. “At the same time, we’re also focused protecting the health of everyone at Tango. Our new release windows will give us time to bring the world of Ghostwire to life as we’ve always envisioned it.”

Once the game gets released in 2022 for PS5 and Windows, Xbox fans will have to wait one more year for the PS5 console exclusivity period to end.
The game was supposed to be released this year.
For gamers not familiar with this title, “Tokyo is overrun by deadly supernatural forces after 99% of the city’s population vanished. Use a powerful arsenal of spectral abilities to fight the paranormal threat and unravel the mystery behind the mass disappearance.”
