All three console makers sold higher amounts of units overall in the Japan game console sales during the week of July 18-24, 2022, compared to the previously reported week of July 11-17, 2022.
Nintendo remained in first place with 69,374 Switch units and 125 New 2DS LL units sold, which is 7,697 more Switch consoles sold and only five less 2DS units sold. Meanwhile, Sony continues to hold on to second place with 11,194 PS5 units sold, which is 1,351 PS5 units less than in the previously reported week. Microsoft recovered with 5,012 units Xbox Series consoles, which is 1,435 more units sold.
Overall, the three companies sold 85,716 units for this reported week, compared to 77,942 units sold in the prior week, which is a difference of 7,774.
