According to The Hollywood Reporter, a Pac-Man Live-Action film is in the works, with Wayfarer Studios and Lightbeam Entertainment in charge.
The film, based on the popular video game franchise by Bandai Namco Entertainment which made its debut in 1980, has seen success outside of games with a Hanna-Barbera cartoon seen on ABC from 1982 to 1983 and the Pac-Man Fever song by Buckner & García, among others.
The Pac-Man film project, according to THR, “will be based on an original idea” from Sonic the Hedgehog film producer Chuck Williams at Lightbeam Entertainment. Tim Kwok will work alongside Williams as producer representing Lightbeam.
Meanwhile, Justin Baldoni, Manu Gargi and Andrew Calof from Wayfarer Studios will be responsible for producing the film.
