Crunchyroll announced today the seventh edition of its Crunchyroll Anime Awards will take place in Japan for the very first time in 2023.
The ceremony will be held at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo on Saturday, March 4, 2023. It’s going to be a great occasion to bring the many people involved in the making of various anime films and series. Fans will also be able to watch this event online via the Crunchyroll social media channels.
In last year’s event, 16.9 million votes were cast for nominees in various categories.
“There is no better place to celebrate the Anime Awards than the birthplace of anime itself,” said Rahul Purini, President at Crunchyroll. “Anime is a rich storytelling medium, capturing the hearts and minds of fans all over the world. We can’t wait to showcase how much love the global anime fanbase has for the studios, creators, and our trusted partners behind anime.”
