The Super Mario Bros. Movie trailer finally made its debut at NYCC and online today. Many fans have waited for this day to arrive for their wish to come true. Though many fans are happy with the amazing animation, the voice of Chris Pratt as Mario has become the most divisive part about the English trailer.
While fans heard devotion and passion in the voice of Jack Black as Bowser, many fans on social media are not happy with the voice of Pratt. Many fans liked a tweet that says the voice of Mario in the trailer sounds just like Pratt’s typical, normal voice.
Hard-Drive.net also shared a similar statement via Twitter and received over 37K likes.
A smaller number of fans are satisfied with the voice of everyone except Pratt’s.
However, fans who have seen the French dub do prefer this one over the American English version. The reason: the French dub sounds a lot more like the voice of Charles Martinet, the original voice actor of Mario. The French voice of Mario expresses more feelings than its American English counterpart.
