Famitsu recently reported the Japan game console sales for the week of September 26-October 2, 2022.
The Nintendo Switch consoles continue to dominate the market in Japan with 69.3540778% of all consoles during that week (specifically, 70,565 out of 101,746 console units). Though the percentage of units sold is higher, the number of units sold was lower compared to the previous week (when it sold 86,572 Switch units). Meanwhile, Sony remains in a distant second place with 18,076 PS5 units sold (which is 17.7658089% of all consoles sold). Not that far behind is Microsoft in third place with 12.8398168% (a total of 13,064 Xbox Series units sold).
