Google Stadia refunds start today

The Google Stadia refunds start today, Google announced today via its support page as the game streaming service is coming to an end on January 18, 2023.

For all Stadia Store purchases of games, add-on material, and membership fees other than Stadia Pro, Stadia will try to automatically process refunds starting today.

Now that this refund process has started, Google is asking subscribers to not contact customer service.

“We ask for your patience as we work through each transaction and ask that you refrain from contacting Customer Support as they will not be able to expedite your refund during this time. We still expect the majority of refunds to be processed by January 18th, 2023.”

According to Google’s post, the company will try to start refunding “each transaction to the form of payment used to make the purchase.” If the original form of payment isn’t available, Google will try to contact users at their Google account used to make purchases.
