The PlayStation 5 continues leading the Japan game console sales for the week of January 23-29, 2023. This is the first time in years the PS5 overtakes the Nintendo Switch in combined console model sales and the second continuous week in first place.
Overall, the PlayStation 5 family of consoles sold 62,908 units (54.0372457% of all console units sold) versus 51,108 Nintendo Switch units combined (43.901181968% of all units sold) for the mentioned week. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X|S sold just 1,265 units, followed by the PS4 with 1,061 units.
