Though the PlayStation maintained its lead by a short margin over the Nintendo switch OLED Model, Nintendo regained the lead in overall Japan game console sales during the week of March 13-19, 2023.
For the mentioned week, Sony achieved 40,411 PS5 units sold, which is about 24k less than the previous week of March 6-12, 2023. Including the sales of the PS4, Sony overall sold 41,526 units. Nintendo got second place in individual console sales with 33,150 Switch OLED model units, but first place in overall console sales with 49,585 Switch units. Meanwhile, Xbox Series consoles add up to just 555 units.
