[EN]: SCEA announced earlier today the company has sold over a million PlayStation 4 consoles in its first 24 hours of availability in the US and Canada.

Sales remain very strong in North America, and we expect continued enthusiasm as we launch the PlayStation 4 in Europe and Latin America on November 29. Sony still has a few issues to overcome: the launch of Microsoft’s Xbox One is coming in five days, the high price of the PS4 in Brazil, and PS4 hardware/software problems (system update and “blue light of death”).
For now, Sony has something to be happy about: the most consoles sold during a launch in its history. The PlayStation 3 reached its first million consoles sold 50 days after its launch.
