[EN]: Earlier today, Verizon Wireless showed off its first Destination Store at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minneapolis. The purpose of this mega store is to offer a brand-new way of shopping to customers when buying a new smartphone, tablet or cell phone. At 9,715 square feet, the store features what it calls interactive Lifestyle Zones for customers to interact with specialists and try out various apps, devices and tech gear.
The Lifestyle Zones at the mega store include:
- Get Fit: For the active sports and fitness buff. Products include the Fibit Zip Wireless Activity Tracker and the Belkin Armband Case.
- Amplify It: For the music aficionado
- Have Fun: For gamers. Products include the new MOGA Pro Controller, a console-style controller for Android devices.
- Home and On The Go: For home monitoring and energy management
- Anywhere Business: For the mobile professional and entrepreneur
Customers can also attend workshops in a dedicated area with a large touch-screen digital screen, and visit the Customize It Zone to give their devices a more personal look. And for fun, people at the mega store can take a look at their digital selves at the Focal Wall as surfers, guitarists and others.
The company’s 1700+ retail stores across the country will also get a makeover/redesign. Called Smart Stores, these remodeled stores will offer the same lifestyles zones as in the new mega Verizon Destination store.
Singer Selena Gomez will inaugurate Verizon’s Destination Store on November 20th at 6pm. The event will be opened to the public.
