The “Playable Teaser” for the upcoming Silent Hills for the PS4 will be removed from the PlayStation Store on April 29, according to a brief announcement on its web site.
Konami posted the following message that was first shared by a Reddit user on the Metal Gear Solid subreddit:
The distribution period of “P.T. (Playable Teaser)” on PlayStation®Store will expire on Wednesday, April 29, 2015.
The reason for the removal of P.T. is unknown, but fans may wonder if internal problems at Konami could be the main reason. In the past month of March, Konami removed everything related to Kojima Productions, including logos, web sites and social media accounts.
Will the upcoming Silent Hills game, which includes the participation of Guillermo del Toro as director and Norman Reedus as actor, be cancelled? Though Kojima said he is completely involved in the development of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, he mentioned nothing about his future at Konami or anything related to Silent Hills.
