Since the start of this amazing anime in 1997, Ash Ketchum has always wanted to be the very best, like no one ever was, and he finally has achieved his goal as Ash becomes a Pokémon Champion in the latest episode of the Pokémon Sun & Moon series.
As he traveled across the land with Pikachu meeting new people and Pokémon who have become his friends and rivals, he became a champ for the very first time in the Alola League tournament by beating Gladion in the final match in an intense fight. Because of that, many fans who have followed the series since the beginning are expressing their feelings after having seen Ash accomplish his dream.

Congratulations to Ash Ketchum on winning the Pokémon League from Ash’s ‘younger’ self, circa 1998…yup, hard work, determination, good friends, and a bit of luck pay off! #pokemon #ashketchum #winning pic.twitter.com/JhgRcGJBEy

Hey, Ash! It’s your younger—but still the same age—self, Ash Ketchum! Congratulations on winning the Pokémon League! I wanna say I always knew you could do it, but really? I didn’t. I only knew that to achieve your goals, you had to train hard—and that is true, but along the way I’ve found out the importance of constantly learning, and challenging yourself, and being open to new experiences. That, by helping others, you help yourself. And mostly: it’s not winning that counts, but how you play the game. But man, it sure feels good to win. Congratulations, and keep up the good work. I gotta go—Mom’s making dinner with Mr. Mime. Catch you later!

Ash Ketchum has been a part of millions of lives & while many stop watching the Pokémon anime Ash continued to be a role model trainer for new generations. He's lost every Pokémon League to teach children it's ok to lose & today he finally won. What a day to be a Pokémon fan 🙂 pic.twitter.com/Gzbf9j08N9

What fans also want to know now is if Ash will make a return in the next season. Will he? Or, will we meet a new main character?
The upcoming season, simply titled Pokémon or Pocket Monsters, will take fans back to all previous regions.
Hey, did you know even CNN has reported about Ash as well?
