Social media networks Facebook, YouTube and Twitter removed a video with false claims by Donald Trump uploaded hours after his followers started invading the US Capitol.
In the video, Trump continued with baseless allegations of a “stolen election” and told his followers to “go home.”
The removed video came after President-elect Biden had asked Trump to speak to the nation.
I call on President Trump to go on national television now to fulfill his oath and defend the Constitution by demanding an end to this siege.

The Trump video, in which he said he landslide victory was stolen from him, seemed rushed.
Twitter announced it has locked @realDonaldTrump “for repeated and severe violations of our Civic Integrity policy” and removed three of his tweets. Twitter had first decided to restrict his tweets.

Facebook VP of Integrity, Guy Rosen, also explained the removal of Trump’s video.
“This is an emergency situation and we are taking appropriate emergency measures, including removing President Trump’s video. We removed it because on balance we believe it contributes to rather than diminishes the risk of ongoing violence.”
