Epic Games announced today El Chapulín Colorado (aka The Red Grasshopper) is coming to Fortnite on November 1st.
For the Latin American community, El Chapulín Colorado represents one of the most iconic and unforgettable characters on TV.
Created by Mexican actor and TV producer Roberto Gómez Bolaños, El Chapulín Colorado is one unusual superhero known for being clumsy yet with a heart of gold. As a superhero, he makes use of his antennae to detect danger, along with the ability to teleport. He also has some gadgets to use, including his Chipote Chillón (Squeaky Mallet).
The El Chapulín Colorado Set comes with his red and yellow costume, the Back Bling Paralizatron CH 3000 and ‘Que no Panda el Cúnico’ Emote.
There will be outfits to use from the bundles Agente Colorado and Capitana Colorada.
In addition, the sprays “Síganme los buenos,” “Noble de Corazón” and “Toing” will also be available for fans.

- Marvel superheroine Red Locust was designed as a tribute to El Chapulín Colorado
- The anime One Punch Man introduced a character named Smile Man who looks a lot like El Chapulín Colorado and the Japanese character Anpanman.
- The Simpsons creator Matt Groening said his creation of Bumblebee Man was based on El Chapulín Colorado.
- A free FIFA 20 DLC character was dedicated to El Chapulín Colorado for the 91st anniversary of creator Roberto Gómez Bolaños’ birth date and the 50th anniversary of the creation of the character.
- In an episode of Nickelodeon animated series The Casagrandes, a kid appears cosplaying as El Chapulín Colorado.
In most episodes of the TV show, he is introduced with: “Más ágil que una tortuga… más fuerte que un ratón… más noble que una lechuga… su escudo es un corazón… es… ¡El Chapulín Colorado! (More agile than a turtle … stronger than a mouse … nobler than a lettuce … its shield is a heart … it’s … El Chapulín Colorado!).”
