While the Nintendo Switch family of consoles continues to dominate the Japan game console sales for the week of December 12-18, 2022, the Xbox Series X|S are staying far behind with less than a thousand consoles sold.
All the three Switch models accumulated a total of 173,083 units sold for the mentioned week (69.88% of all consoles sold). Meanwhile, the PlayStation 5 and the PS5 Digital Edition remained in second place with 70,496 units sold (28.46% of all console units sold). Unfortunately, the Xbox Series X|S consoles were only able to reach 910 new owners.
Strangely enough, 48 units of New 2DS LL model were sold versus 35 units of the Xbox Series X. There were more PS4 consoles sold with 3,161 units.
