The launch of PlayStation VR2 on February 22 is quickly approaching, Sony released two videos about the PlayStation VR2 internal hardwre architecture.
As seen on PlayStation.Blog, the videos show the disassembling of the PS VR2 and the PS VR2 Sense controller, giving fans an intro of the next generation of virtual reality gaming.
Takamasa Araki from the Mechanical Design team describes how he and his crew created the PS VR2 headset’s internal balance and symmetry, improved cooling system for pleasant gameplay, optics for incredible graphic fidelity, and ergonomic headband engineered to optimum comfort in the video above. He also emphasizes how the headgear was created to be small and light while preserving a robust, high-functioning design.
In the second video, Takeshi Igarashi of the Peripheral Design team delves into PS VR2 Sense controller’s tracking technology, which heightens the sense of immersion, as well as the finger-touch detection and adaptive triggers that build on the DualSense wireless controller’s groundbreaking haptic feedback and finger-touch detection technologies.
