Hideo Kojima while at the Eurogamer Expo revealed that Solid Snake will be the main character and that Hugh Jackman was once considered for the role. I guess this may have been in the mind of many gamers but now we know Jackman will not the chosen one. Instead, a newcomer will do the role of Solid Snake.
The producer Avi Arad does have a great instinct in selecting actors for movie roles.
Kojima did say he will not be responsible for directing the film or writing the script; he will only be a project supervisor.
