A surprising and unexpected tweet with a pic from Ellen DeGeneres at the Oscars broke a Twitter retweet record tonight. Along with Julia Roberts, Kevin Spacey, Brad Pitt and many others, the tweet from her @TheEllenShow got retweeted over 1.2 million times in almost an hour. The selfie picture, taken by Bradley Cooper, broke the previous record of 780,000+ retweets of a post with a victory pic from the President Obama’s Twitter account in Nov, 6, 2012.
