The Sonic Boom animated series to debut on November 8 on Cartoon Network

In an event this weekend in New York, the arrival of the newest animation based on Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog was finally announced. The cartoon, Sonic Boom, will premiere on November 8 on Cartoon Network, three days before the release of the upcoming games Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal (3DS) and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric (Wii U). Both titles are a prequel to the animated series. The computer-generated animated series, developed by OuiDo! Productions and Sega of America, consists of 52 11-minutes episodes.

The new look of Sonic and friends, as well as the animation quality, look great, though some fans may still be disappointed about Knuckles’ taller and physically-stronger look.
