Double Dragon IV is coming to PS4 and Steam in January

As the franchise is about to celebrate its 30th anniversary, Japanese game developer Arc System Works announced today Double Dragon IV is coming to PS4 and Steam. Double Dragon became one of the popular arcade and console hits of the 1980s, with releases of the title and other sequels in various consoles and PCs.

The upcoming game, featuring Billy and Jimmy Lee, will be available on January 30 worldwide. For this numbered sequel, the original team from Technōs Japan that developed the arcade version is at work on this game for Arc System Works. Among the ones working on the project are producer Takaomi Kaneko, director Yoshihisa, programmer Kei Oyama, charcter designer Koji Ogata and composer Kazunaka Yamane.

Even though there have been many franchise titles after Double Dragon III, like Super Double Dragon and Double Dragon Neon, this sequel will bring back the old school formula of the game with new features. A true sequel awaits!
