Apple announced the arrival of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition for people to contribute to the Global Fund to get closer to a generation free of AIDS. It’s the first time the 10-year partnership between Apple and (RED) is offering an iPhone featuring a vibrant red matte aluminum finish and it will be available worldwide starting this Friday, March 24.
“Apple is the world’s largest corporate donor to the Global Fund, contributing more than $130 million as part of its partnership with (RED),” said Deborah Dugan, (RED)’s CEO. “Combining the global reach of the world’s most loved smartphone with our efforts to provide access to life-saving ARV medication in sub-Saharan Africa, customers now have a remarkable opportunity to make a difference and contribute to the Global Fund through the purchase of this new beautiful (PRODUCT)RED iPhone.”
The mentioned phones will be available to customers in 128GB and 256GB models, with prices starting at US$749.
The company also introduced a new 9.7-inch iPad featuring brighter Retina display, more than 3.1 million pixels, low-light camera performance, and HD video recording. iPads start at US$329 for the 32GB tablet with Wi-Fi and US$459 for the 32GB one with Wi-Fi + Cellular.
In addition, Apple announced the arrival of new Apple Watch bands in various colors. Among them:
