A Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night sequel is in development, publisher 505 Games and developer ArtPlay confirmed last night.
The post comes after the first mention and the removal of “second version in development” for the game seen in an earlier version of Digital Bros.’ FY 2020/2021 Q3 financial report. Though “second version” didn’t exactly refer to a sequel, it led fans to understand a sequel is in the works.
Last night, a post appeared on the game’s Twitter account about the sequel in English and Japanese:
“Regarding recent reports, @505_Games and @ArtplayEN are in very early planning stages for a #Bloodstained sequel. However, current development resources are focused on completing Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s upcoming content. We have a lot planned for you.”
