Masahiro Sakurai announced today Sora from the Kingdom Hearts franchise is the final DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
During the Mr. Sakurai Presents presentation, the popular game director said Sora will join Mario and friends on October 18.
The young fighter will feature some of his costumes from previous games, from the original KH one up to the KH3 one. His style of fighting should be familiar for fans. Besides his regular, aerial and combo attacks based on the first KH title, Sora is seen using magic powers such as Firaga, Thundaga and Blizzaga. His Final Smash is called “Sealing the Keyblade.”
As part of Challenger Pack 11 DLC, there is a new dynamic stage called Hollow Bastion. Nine music tracks are also included. Players who own Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will have one more song, Dearly Beeloved – Swing Version.
The new KH Spirit Board features eight characters includes Riku, Kairi, Roxas and others.
One small surprise was the presence of Doom Slayer as one of the new Mii Fighter, along with Judd Hat and Octoling Wig.
A surprise announcement was the reveal of various Kingdom Hearts games as cloud titles to Nintendo Switch. No release dates were announced for KINGDOM HEARTS – HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX – Cloud Version, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue Cloud Version and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind Cloud Version.
