IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak announced today new content under the name Hitman 3 Year 2 that will arrive on January 22, 2022.

Before the reveal, he starts off by thanking “everyone who has helped make hitman 3 a success this year.” He then said the entire World of Assassination trilogy (which consists of Hitman, Hitman 2, and hitman 3) “has reached a phenomenal milestone of 50 million players.” Also, Hitman 3 has become “the most successful Hitman game of all-time.”
Abrak later revealed plans for 2022. Starting in January, fans will see PC Ray Tracing, PC VR mode, and Elusive Target Arcade. He also mentioned that there’s more content the company is currently working on, including “new maps, new storylines, new modes, and new ways of playing, all coming in 2022,” plus some surprises.
“Prepare to take on the ultimate Elusive Target challenge in a change to the established formula in this fan-favorite game mode. All Elusive Target Arcade content will be a permanent addition to the game,” says the developer’s website about the gaming.
A major update is planned for release in Spring 2022. No details of that update were mentioned.
The VR version had been previously exclusive to the PlayStation VR.
More info will be revealed before the release of Hitman 3 Year 2.
