Via social media, Take-Two Interactive announced the servers for WWE 2K19 and WWE 2K20 will be shutdown on June 30, 2022. That means all online modes will no longer be available after that date. Fans currently have 52 days left to enjoy online matches and community creations.
According to the tweet, 2K Sports and Visual Concepts will focus on WWE 2K22 from now on. WWE 2K22 made its debut on March 11, 2022.
WWE 2K19, the last WWE game developed by YuKe’s, received favorable reviews. However, WWE 2K20, the first WWE title developed by Visual Concepts, received many negative reviews and the developer skipped the planned WWE 2K21 game. This year, WWE 2K22 (the second title under Visual Concepts) received better reviews and favorable reviews compared to WWE 2K20.
