The Walt Disney Company announced a Disney+ price increase for its ad-free subscription service alongside a new ad-tier subscription plan coming late this year in the U.S.
Starting December 8, the ad-free service called Premium will cost $10.99, a $3 increase. The new ad-tier plan called Basic will cost $7.99. Also, changes in Hulu and ESPN+ plans will start before December.

With declining subscriptions in various streaming services, it seems likely that ad-tier plans may become the new and preferred plan for many customers.
