The old E3 used to be the best gaming event, but the last two have been all but successful. The events in 2007 and 2008 did not offer the amazing experience of the previous years, and in many ways both were only a very small fraction of the old E3 lots of people had gotten to know. Because of that great mistake, some companies left the ESA (Entertainment Software Association), the one in charge of the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Though E3 has never opened its doors to the public, if these rumors are true, E3 will make a comeback close to what it used to be in early June 2009, and this time, up to 40000 people may be able to attend. So far, the ESA has not confirmed anything. It had no comments, but will make announcements when “appropriate.” The ESA must make a decision soon, otherwise, people will simply forget about E3. Many gamers have been going to other events such as the Game Developers Conference, Penny Arcade and the Tokyo Game Show. If the ESA gets to do this, it will bring back the best gaming event of all back to Los Angeles. This may be the best chance to resurrect the old E3.
