Via its website, Ubisoft confirmed today that the game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake hasn’t been canceled.
While it’s good news for fans of the franchise, it’s also bad news because Ubisoft announced the cancellation of current pre-orders. “Since the game currently does not have a release date, existing pre-orders have been canceled and refunded where applicable.”
Though there is no official mention of another delay, it may be safe to assume the pre-order cancellation may be due to more time needed for the game’s development. However, the post also says “pre-orders may reopen once a new release date for the game has been announced.”
The remake has been delayed three times previously.
Also, the franchise turned 33 just three days ago.
And just like that, 33 days of celebrating the very beginning of Prince of Persia is already over. Time really does fly by when you are having fun.
