Players of the popular video game Minecraft are in for a treat this Spring when Dungeons & Dragons makes an appearance. Wizards of the Coast and Mojang revealed a new DLC during a recent D&D Direct presentation that would let players explore the Forgotten Realms as conventional D&D characters and engage in combat with various creatures.
The adventure will start in a traditional D&D fashion, with players choosing their character classes and stats before embarking on quests in locations such as Icewind Dale and Candlekeep. The DLC will feature a custom combat system, and players will be able to utilize their character’s skills and equip gear to improve their stats. The game promises about 10 hours of narrative-driven gameplay on the first playthrough.
In addition, Minecraft will also be making an appearance in Dungeons & Dragons (archive | screenshot) with a new digital compilation of monsters that includes stats for popular Minecraft creatures.
