Microsoft announced today Project xCloud will be coming in September as part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription service, the bundle that includes Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass for PC and console.
With the addition of Project xCloud, the price of the subscription service will not change and will remain at US$14.99.
The new service will let people play their games on the cloud using their smartphone or tablet. Once the service is online in September, it will only be available in certain countries such as the US, Canada, UK, and many European countries.
“With cloud gaming in Game Pass Ultimate, you will be able to play over 100 Xbox Game Pass titles on your phone or tablet,” said Phil Spencer, head of Xbox. “And because Xbox Live connects across devices, you can play along with the nearly 100 million Xbox Live players around the world. So when Halo Infinite launches, you and your friends can play together and immerse yourselves in the Halo universe as Master Chief—anywhere you go and across devices.”
