Nacon announced yesterday Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will be delayed until 2023.
According to a blog post on Steam, Nacon said the open-world racing game, which was officially announced on July 7, 2020, won’t be released on September 22, 2022.
“With so much support from fans of the series, we know many of you will be disappointed, but our goal with Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is to make it the most polished gaming experience in the franchise by spending more time on its development,” says the post.
No specific reasons for the delay were mentioned.
The developer has also decided to stop development on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game to focus on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions.
“Finally, with the aim of making the most of the technology in the latest consoles and maximizing the overall quality of the game, NACON has decided to no longer develop Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.”
