Splatoon 3 remained first in the ranking of Japan game sales charts for the week of September 26-October 2, 2022, even with six new games that together almost catch up with the Nintendo title.
While Splatoon 3 stayed in first place with 157,348 copies sold, it is close to reaching the 3 million mark. In the previously reported week, Nintendo sold 301,845 Splatoon 3 copies.
Eiyuu Densetsu: Kuro No Kiseki II -CRIMSON SiN- reached second place with 36,261 PS4 copies sold and 14,446 PS5 copies sold, for a total of 50,707.
FIFA 23 sold many titles altogether with 21,721 PS4 copies, 11,783 Switch copies, and 7,378 PS5 copies for a total of 40,882 copies sold. It barely sold more copies than Valkyrie Elysium with 23,295 PS4 copies and 17,067 PS5 copies sold for a total of 40,362 copies.
The 3D action/shooting game Little Witch Nobeta made it into the Top 30 charts with 6,896 Switch copies and 5,269 PS4 copies sold, for a total of 12,165.
Lastly, Shin Tennis no Ōji-sama Let’s Go! ~Daily Life~ from RisingBeat landed in 15th place with 6,368 Switch copies sold, and Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris in 16th place with 5,870 Switch copies sold.
All the new games in the Top 30 sold a total of 156,354 copies, close to the 157,348 copies of Splatoon 3 sold for the mentioned week.
